Foldtally privacy policy

Information stored on your device

Foldtally stores event and receipt timestamps, fold states, optional hinge angles, event sources, internal event/session identifiers and validation/counting decisions. It also stores whether you have seen the welcome guide. These records support history, charts, deduplication and troubleshooting.

Collection and sharing

The application does not send activity data to WavePlay. It has no advertising, analytics SDK, tracking or developer-operated backend. No account is required. Apple may independently process device backups, system diagnostics or App Store information under your Apple settings and Apple’s policies.

When you export a CSV, you choose whether and where to share it. Exported records may reveal patterns of device use. The destination’s privacy policy applies to copies you share; Foldtally cannot recall them.

Storage and deletion

History is stored in the app’s protected local container. iOS data protection permits supported background writes after the first unlock following restart. This does not guarantee that iOS will execute every automation.

Settings → Delete all history removes local event records and counting state. It does not delete exports, Apple-managed backups or Shortcuts automations. New events may be recorded after reset. Uninstalling the app removes its local container under normal iOS behavior.

Permissions

The current version requests no location, contacts, microphone, photo-library or tracking permission. It does not create profiles or knowingly collect children’s information on a server.

Support requests and this website

If you email support@waveplay.com, you choose to share your email address and message with WavePlay and the email providers involved. Please do not include unnecessary personal activity records. These pages add no analytics, advertising or data-collection forms. The website is hosted with OpenAI Sites and Cloudflare infrastructure. Hosting providers may process network information such as IP addresses and request logs to deliver and secure the site; their services may use operational cookies. Website hosting is separate from the Foldtally app, which does not send activity records to this site.
